1. Historic Township Hall
Originally called The Opera House, note the historic marker on the front of the building. Built in 1883, complete with the local jail in the basement, which is now part of the Elk Rapids Area Historical Society Museum, the building has been used for plays, recitals, meetings and even high school basketball games.
The stage curtain was last refurbished in the 1980s and features a large mural and collection of business ads from bygone days. A picture of Shakespeare hangs over the stage. An entrance has been added to the building front. The garden was planted by volunteers in 1998 and funded with community donations.
