Hike at the Maplehurst Natural Area

Description: Join GTRLC volunteers Paul and Paula Moyer for a hike at the Maplehurst Natural Area in cooperation with the Elk Rapids Trail Alliance! While hiking the winding trails, participants will enjoy stunning views and observe plenty of interesting flora and fauna on this former summer camp property.
The Basics: Come prepared with hiking gear, water, and your curiosity! The terrain is steep in places, making this a moderately strenuous event. The group will be hiking for approximately one hour, with stops along the way.
The Conservancy follows state, federal and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 and may modify or cancel this event at any time. Do not participate in any activity if you were recently exposed (within 10 days) to someone with COVID-19, have recently (within 10 days) been diagnosed with COVID-19.
What should I bring?
Dress for the weather
Sturdy, close-toed shoes recommended
Consider bringing your binoculars or a camera
Consider bringing a reusable water bottle and some snacks
Consider bringing hiking poles if you prefer
Directions: Please meet us at the parking lot for Maplehurst Natural Area.
Registration is not required but is appreciated. Registered participants will be notified of any modifications or cancellations via email.
